Group Guidelines For Men's Circle in the common room of Old Town Hostel
• I agree to confidentiality – I will disclose nothing from this group to anyone outside of this group and will share my own experience only.
• I respect the opportunity for equal air time – I understand that I need to allow ‘space’ for other participants
• I agree to a Non judgmental atmosphere – when we judge, people aren’t safe to openly share and let’s face it we all have our stuff!
• I will have respect for self and others – We are all adults and deserve to be treated with respect no matter what we have or haven’t done.
• Everyone is responsible for their own learning and participation – we all learn at different speeds and it’s our own journey
• I agree to use I statements – I statements help to take responsibility for our conversations and also stop us from generalizing.
• I will not take any illicit substances before or during group – this will be enforced with no exceptions. Anyone breaking this guideline will be immediately removed from the program!
• I agree to be responsible for myself - ask for help if and when you need it. We are not here to care-take or parent anyone!
